The O’Jays sing, “Money Money Money....for the love of money!”   which is where event and wedding planning begins, or SHOULD begin.  Do you really want to start your new life, new season in life in DEBT?

One of the first questions I ask my clients at the initial meeting/consultant is “Do you have a BUDGET?”  If the answer is NO, I share with them an interactive, Excel spreadsheet that allows them to “play” around with to set their maximum spending limits on every aspect of their #BigDay.

However, earlier this year I enrolled in the Financial Peace University created by Dave Ramsey, financial guru and fellow podcaster, because I felt I needed a little more “assistance” in my own financials.  Well, lo and behold, I was inspired and motivated to change not only my ways but my mindset, and my guests, Brandee and Zachary Dunn in this episode were the co-facilitators of the Financial Peace University (FPU) sessions.

They have been married for 13 years and have 2 boys, and have recently relocated from Detroit to Phoenix.  After taking Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University in 2015, they paid off $55,000 in debt and were inspired to go on and coordinate 7 FPU classes to help others achieve their financial goals.  Going through the program definitely made them closer as a couple and helped give them a common goal to strive toward together. They could not recommend FPU enough - especially to those couples just getting started on their lifelong journey together!

I’m happy to feature them  on this episode as one of my past Wedding Couple AND to share their experience and tackling their combined debt to eventually become DEBT FREE as a result of their experience in FPU, including the following:

My hope is that couples listen to this episode as early as possible in their relationship, engagement season and/OR married life to establish the RIGHT financial plan to ensure a DEBT FREE future.  It’s NEVER too late to start NO MATTER how much DEBT you have.
